"Darkness... everywhere" That's what Lily Scarlett told me was her first memory when I asked her. She told me she only remembered a feeling of need. Needing life, to find it, take it, KILL for it. Anything and everything around her was just fuel for her need. When she had gained a large source, the others around her started to fear her power. But it wasn't enough she needed to find more, BE more. Thus did she go searching for one who would grant it to her and thats where I come in! I desired the power to protect those I loved and was willing to do anything for them. Intrigued, she offered me a deal I couldn't possibly refuse. By acting as her guide through my world, she would grant me a fraction of her powers. With those powers, she said I could protect my friends from any harm that came their way! When I connected with her, it was strange, the feeling of her strength it was... horrifying yet awesome. I often awoken to what I believe was her trying to take over my body. She always said it was her trying to learn of the world, and who was I to not believe her? I told her if she ever wanted to explore, then I would be happy to take her there. We were both newly freed spirits after all. Her from her void, and me from my village. We started to travel together, everywhere I went she was with me. Like a second shadow, but one that I could talk to. We traveled everywhere, mountains, valleys, lakes, and villages. Always helping where we could. Clearing brush, helping gathering food, experiencing local traditions, driving wild animals from roads, and anything that was needed. Always trying to teach the voidsent compassion. One day on a road similar to one we'd just made safe we were surrounded, Bandits thought us easy pray. And they were right. I was injured and losing conscious when I felt a darkness, a darkness I hadn't felt in a long time. Lily had taken over my body and killed the bandits. She had completely ignored everything I had taught her. Anger let me control myself again, yet I was too late... She had slaughtered all the bandits... "They were going to kill you! I had to kill them!" An excuse I couldn't stand. I told her there's ALWAYS another way we could have stunned them, taken their weapons! We never know what they went through to become bandits, we must always choose compassion. I could see this affected her by the way she went silent... And perhaps, maybe I was too harsh...It was a week before Lily talked to me again, though I knew she wasn't gone as her presence was always around me. She never talked to me, even when she would appear to take the Aether we agreed upon. When she finally did speak to me I was surprised to hear her apologizing to me! She said she had found a friend in the void! Well... friend may not be the right word but it's close enough. I was told this Voidsent and I were quite similar, apparently! Someone I never thought I'd be compared to... Apparently what Lily did was what Voidsent consider justice...Although in this star, people can change not for the darkness in their hearts but from circumstances out of their control, but I was glad to hear Lily say she's trying to help this new void friend she has made. It made me happy... made me want to be better. I slowly realized that the way to make my wish to make the world a better place is to bring her into this world. To bring her out of the darkness and to show her that the kindness in her heart can flourish in this world. After all... She and I had gotten closer. She asked me all kinds of questions about my world, where I came from, and what it was like there. She asked about my friends, my family, and what it was like being from the mountains and I was all too glad to tell her. The more we talked the more she stayed by my side. Before she would travel back to the void but now she is with me constantly. She even shows up to chase away nightmares! Though I do wish she'd show up more in my dreams... This only strengthened my resolve to bring her into my world. If only there were a way to get her here... maybe there is an old tome somewhere...? Maybe it'll be a fun surprise! Repayment for all she's done for me!I never told her what I was going to do, I knew she wouldn't approve of it. But I had to get here here. Had to see her smile, had to know that she is in this world and is happy. I could only research when I felt her return to the void, there were some close calls and I thought she almost found me out but she never caught me. Well after months, I finally found it! It was called a Voidgate and it required massive amounts of Aether and mentions summoning crystals... So I did what any logical person would do... stole a bunch from a beast tribe that were going to use it for Primal Summoning!I took every Aether-filled crystal, my sack and arms could carry and made my way to Coerthas. It was far enough out of the way that no one could be hurt if something went wrong. Plus I think Lily would love the snow. I placed the Aether crystal down and began to spell to open the voidgate. I won't lie this is where I started to feel the real fear creep in. As the gate started opening I could feel the darkness of her world just by being near the portal.Once the portal opened, I'm sure Lily felt some sort of Darkness coming from me that wasn't hers. I suddenly felt her eyes on me and a fear and panic I'd never felt before. She yelled at me for the first time, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" she asked with the most anger and fear I've ever heard. "Giving you a chance to be happy! And to experience a world not full of darkness!" I felt her leave again, hoping that she would instead appear in front of me. I wasn't sure what she would look like but I could feel a dark energy coming closer to me and instinctually grabbed my weapon but hesitated, could it be her? What if I accidentally attacked her? As I debated with myself I saw a huge clawed paw reach out of the portal. Then it quickly ripped across my chest, deeper then any cut I'd ever felt. I figured that Lily wouldn't slash me so I started to fight back against this giant unknown beast but I felt dizzy, everything was blurry and I could feel my strikes missing and started to fear the worst. But then I saw her and she was beautiful... She had deep purple and black hair that matched her shimmering scales perfectly. Large black, demon like horns protruded from her head and a tail with two shining halos around the end. She was running towards the portal eyes wide with as if SHE was the scared one. As I fell, the last I heard was "You Idiot!" before the world went dark. When I woke up, I felt immense pain and remembered the beast. tilting my head I see it laying a few yalms away dead. Looking over I see an incredibly tired looking Lily, still on the other side of the void. She must have seen me wake because she looked up and shouted at me to lay down. That she had to close the portal before more came by. I couldn't concentrate on her words, the pain was getting to me, and she was so beautiful that I could barely comprehend her words. "I-I'll get some help! Please, just hang on!" I heard her words but her face betrayed the truth. She had a look of someone trying to save one who was beyond help. I knew it too well as I had worn it too many times myself. I knew I had to do something to make her smile, one last thing before I died. As I started to walk towards the portal I heard her shouting at me to stop, save my energy, dont do anything rash. But I didnt care, I knew my time was up and I wanted to give her something to smile about. Before I knew it, I was in the void and I felt the portal close behid me. I saw Lily's eyes widen and start to cry, as I reach down and wipe them from her face I give her the biggest hug I could manage. As my legs collapsed she held me tightly and helped me lay down. "What were you thinking!? Voidgates are incredibly dangerous!" She was looking at my injuries and trying to heal me with what little medicine I had. "I had... to see you happy..." I saw her face change from shock to then having a sad smile. It was the most beautiful smile I'd ever seen. "You're a fool..." She spoke as she pet my head softly. I let out a chuckle that turned into a cough before asking "Lily... Tell me... about your life, before... before I-" She cut me off with a finger over my mouth "Shh! I'll only tell you if you be quiet and save your strength!"POV Change:As he lay in my arms I told him of my life. What I did as a voidsent, what life was like in all darkness, even some bits of my time before my Star was engulfed in Darkness. I watched as his life force slowly drained from his eyes. Something I had seen countless times in the Void, and yet this time... it was different. He begged me to take his Aether before he died and... I did. Not out of need for food but out of a need to feel close to him, to never lose him. I would never say such emotions out loud but I think he knew how I felt. The smile he gave me as I took his Aether made me suspect that he felt the same. I cried, for how long I dont know, holding his lifeless body until I felt a hand on my shoulder. My friend had found me and guessed at my situation after seeing the man in my arms "He was your contractor, I assume?" I only nodded in response. "Why dont we bury him...? If his Aether is gone, no others should disturb his rest. And its a good thing I was the one who found you... not one who would take advantage of your weakened state..." He gripped my shoulder tighter as if to say 'Please, friend.' I looked up at him trying to mask his worry with compassion. "Thanks, Catkin. You're right" I spoke gently trying not to burst into tears again. We carried Anamtu's body to a location I often visited as not to cause any doubt of my weekly visits. I'm... not sure what he told you of me, but I guarantee I'm not as nice as he said. I only made a contract with him in order to learn of this world to take it over and get more Aether, but... he reminded me what humanity was like and over time... I think I became soft... maybe even more like a person, again. After a while, I talked to Catkin about what my next move was. I wanted to make the Void more like the place my friend is from. We talked for hours about how to go about it when suddenly it hit me. I could tell every voidsent that I was going to take over the Void, once and for all. I told them if they vowed alligience to me and promised to live 'normal' lives in the small area I had built, then I would feed them Aether from my supply and they'd never go hungry again. Many Voidsent jumped at the chance of free Aether and a glimpse of whatever normalcy can be found in the void... Until they are called to fight.Over a year had passed since I took up the caregiving role. Giving up large amounts of Aether, I noticed my form growing smaller and my scaled growing lighter and starting to fade slightly. I felt myself getting weaker as my Aether waned. I had to find a way to the source and find a way to feed my people, WITHOUT killing others for it... or better yet fix my home... Catkin didn't like the idea at all. To him, the Source had only brought pain. But he didn't have any other solutions to offer. I started wandering the Void every day, trying to find some sort of gate or opening. Even visiting the spot where Anamtus died, despite how painful, knowing that a gate opened there once and could open again. Then it finally happened. A Voidgate had opened on one of Catkin and I's scouting runs. There wasn't much time before another Voidsent noticed it as well. It was a small gate, but a gate to the source nonetheless. We were too big to fit... I turned to Catkin and he immediately knew but didn't approve. "I'll be back before you know it, Catkin..." I smiled at him hoping to hide with false confidence. He only nodded understandingly in return and said "You better be..." I took a deep breath before I told him, "I... I have to give you my Aether... I wont fit otherwise..." He looked shocked at my words, then looked at the portal suddenly figuring out what I meant. "Just make sure you feed everyone while I'm gone ok! I... I trust... you" I uttered a word I had not said since I was human and before I had time to think on what I had said I started the spell to transfer Aether to him. The spell made my form shrink and my hair and horns to turn a light shade of pink and white. I made sure to keep Anamtus' Aether with me. I couldn't part with him, not when his dream was about to come true. Though I had done the spell quickly, I felt something within me break. Like my very being had shattered. I Shook my head and kept going, I MUST get to the Source... Once I had given Catkin all I could manage I headed through. Everything went hazy and dark, but I had done it! I was in the Source. I turned to get the gate closed so no one else could go through but could barely manage it. I looked up and saw Catkin wave at me, and a bed of Lily flowers sprouted below me as he closed the gate. I fell back into the world of my Dear Anamtus and felt my consciousness, and memories, slip away into darkness. As I awoke, I felt as though my head was ready to split in two along with my chest feeling like it was about to burst. I looked around at the unfamiliar world I was in. "W-where...? W-who...? W-why...?" I felt my memory gone, I couldn't remember who I was, where I was, or how I had gotten here... When I looked up, a man was kneeling over me, he had a blindfold on but I could tell he had a handsome face, with dark dark black hair and red highlights. I don't know why but I simply smiled and waved at him. I could only smile at him. I felt no fear when looking at him, only... happiness! It was all I could feel, despite not having any memories. The man made some gestures at me, I think indicating to ask if I was hurt at all. I shook my head no "I... I think I'm ok! Just... I don't think I can remember who I am...?" I look down at the lilies I was laying on "But... I THINIK my name is Lily! I'm not sure, but it sounds correct!" The man helped me to my feet and then gestured for me to follow. Having no idea who or where I was, I just had to trust him. He brought me to this place called New Gridania where I can only assume his friend lived. After what looked like a silent conversation, the white haired Mi'qote turned to me and said "Ah! Norton found another stray! Are you hurt at all anywhere?" I shook my head no and gave her my best smile. "Nope! I just don't remember a thing about myself or anything from before I woke up... My only memories are of Norton finding me and bringing me here." The Mi'qote looked me over inquisitively before saying "Hm... Well I'm going to cast a few spells on you to see if I can't help you get your memories back. Or at least figure out what happened. I'm Athena by the way!" I looked to Norton who only nodded in response. "Anything would be helpful, Thank you Athena! I'm Lily! I... think." I chuckle before she started casting a bunch of spells on me. It was incredible to watch! I was so glad I could experience it for the first time again... or for the first time, I wasn't sure. I could tell by the expression on her face and the way she looked at Norton that she couldn't tell what was causing the memory loss. "Well Darling I can't help you with your memories right now, but what I can do is at least not put you on the street. I'll do some research into this and get back to you. For now though Norton why don't you go take her to live with our Lominsan friend? Azaran has a nice place and I'm sure she won't say no." Norton only nods, somehow having silently made his way to the door, beckoning me to follow.
Norton took me on a thing called an 'airship' and it was INCREDIBLE! We were so high up, everyone looked so small! We eventually landed in a place called Limsa Lominsa. I couldn't believe it, a city ON the water! We then took a boat to where an Island called 'The Mist.' We walked past so many pretty houses until we came to the one Norton knocked on. "Oh! My mail is he- oh. Hi Norton... Who's this?" The tall purple haired Viera girl asked, pointing to me. I just gave my best smile and waved at her, trying to be cute like Athena had told me. "Hi! I'm Lily! Norton and Athena said you wouldn't mind me staying with you!" I beamed. Norton only nodding in agreement. "Did they now... And they told you I'd just say yes to a new person in my house?" She said, giving Norton a glare. "Yes! You see, I woke up and I have no memory of who I am or how I got here! I don't remember anything past waking up this morning and meeting Norton!" I said to her. "O-oh! Well.. That certainly a crock of bad shi-uh.. bad luck, huh..." She sighed as she opened the door wide for them to enter. "Well... they were right, you can stay here long as y'like. Do you like rice balls? OH! I'm Azaran by the way" I smiled and walked in, shrugging my shoulders, not sure what a rice ball even was. Norton and Azaran stared at each other for a bit before they waved and she closed the door. That's where my story starts. Azaran teaching me the ways of people here that I had forgotten and is even teaching me the ways of a Dark knight! It seems I'm a natural at it!

Athena met lily when she first came to the source. Norton had brought Lily to Athena in hopes of healing Lily and getting her memories back but sadly no matter the spell or work she did to Lily nothing made her memories back. Dispites this Lily and Athena are now friends and Lily ends up finding herself in Athena's hands many times due to the about out wounds she gets being in the front lines!

Azaran is a kindhearted sailor that agreed to take care of Lily until Lily could be out on her own two feet but the two have grown quite close to one another and can often seen together hanging out or having fun!

Norton came upon Lily when she first came to the source he found her knocked out. When she came too he didn't talk much to her only small nods and hand gestures to follow. Lily didn't know or remember anything at the time so she just followed him till he met with his friend Athena. No words were said but Athena had come up to Lily to try and heal her but nothing seemed to get Lily's memory back despite Athena being an amazing healer. Norton then gestured to Lily to follow and she did until they arrived at Azaran place and in their only silent conversation Azaran agreed to care for Lily. Lily tends to call him brother since he helped her at the start.

Lily met Xoiron by chance, She was looking for answers and he happen to see her. He offered to help find answers and she accepted the help though it took some time before she took him up on the offer. Another chance meeting where he found her crying and reached his hand out to help but this time she took it. Since then she has been happy to call him friend and doesn't know how far she'd be without him. She sees him as a knight that will not only save her but help her find herself again.
